Synopsis
"Victorian explorers Richard Francis Burton (Patrick Bergin) and John Hanning Speke (Iain Glen) set off for Africa in 1854 to find the Nile River's source. The men face intense hardships in the African wilderness, including capture and torture by native tribes. When they return to England, their close friendship dissolves amid betrayal and acrimony.
